Shannon O'Riordan recently earned a BA in Theatre and Dance from James Madison University, where she had performing opportunities in a variety of styles ranging from acting on stage and for the camera, to Japanese Butoh Dance and Experimental Theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Andromache in Ellen McLaughlin’s adaptation of The Trojan Women, Bride in Lorca’s Blood Wedding, and Witch in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. One of her favorite challenges was co-directing and choreographing an original play, A Fear of Falling, by classmate Gabriela Fleury, which was nominated by her professors to compete at the next KCACTF conference. Shannon is extremely fortunate to have worked for world-renowned companies including Riverdance, ODC Dance Company, and the Theâtre du Chêne Noir during the Avignon Theatre Festival.
